WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions within the body. An osteopath will use a combination of touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the range of movement at joints, reduce muscle tension and to improve the blood and nerve supply to tissues.

As osteopaths we believe that the body has the ability to heal itself but it just needs a helping hand every now and again!

Conditions that osteopathy may be able to help with include:

  • Headaches, migraines and neck pain

  • Back pain - upper, middle and lower

  • Sciatica and other nerve related pain

  • Carpal tunnel and tennis/golfers elbow

  • Shoulder, elbow and wrist pain

  • Hip, knee and ankle pain

  • Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciits

  • Tendon and ligaments injury

  • Sports Injuries

  • Postural problems

  • Recovery from orthopaedic surgery

  • General joint stiffness and immobility

  • Arthritis
